Shabby tea room challene week 81: Chevrons, & fantabulous cricut card challenges

Hi all here is my entry into this weeks shabby tea room challenge, I decided to make a bird card as I had no idea where to start with the card basics! After cutting up paper and getting stuck in glue i finally finished my card!  We also had to use the colours blue, green, orange, cream and brown along with chevrons. I decided to make a folded card and used green as the background colour.

The insert of my card is cream card with inked edges and a scallop border along the top. I used chevrons in the colours brown, blue, cream and orange. I am really pleased with the outcome of the card as once I started making it I thought it was going very wrong, but I kept going and normally when I do this the card is a disaster but I was very pleased with the end result!

Head on over to and see all the gorgeous cards,

Its world card making day saturday and the lovely guys on the cricut blog are giving away a cuttlebug, which i would love! I love all the embossing effects you can do with the cuttlebug along with all their gorgeous dies, its a match made in heaven :) so i would like to enter this card and crafty fingers crossed  :)

And for my last entry I am giving the fantabulous cricut blog challange a  go, we had to make a card or project with leaves on.  I used my new imagine which I absolutely adore! I love this challeng blog as you have to use your cricut which I am on all the time!!! There are some stunning cards on the challenge blog along with tips and tricks.
