Shabby tea room challene week 81: Chevrons, & fantabulous cricut card challenges

Hi all here is my entry into this weeks shabby tea room challenge, I decided to make a bird card as I had no idea where to start with the card basics! After cutting up paper and getting stuck in glue i finally finished my card!  We also had to use the colours blue, green, orange, cream and brown along with chevrons. I decided to make a folded card and used green as the background colour.

The insert of my card is cream card with inked edges and a scallop border along the top. I used chevrons in the colours brown, blue, cream and orange. I am really pleased with the outcome of the card as once I started making it I thought it was going very wrong, but I kept going and normally when I do this the card is a disaster but I was very pleased with the end result!

Shabby tea room challenge:pink wedded bliss

The beautiful blog the shabby tea room are hosting a challenge this week called pink wedded bliss, there are some amazing card designs and they also put up pictures to inspire you, so here's my card for this weeks challenge:

This 'happy anniversary' card took a while to complete as I made the paper flowers myself and hand stitched the card along the top. I also made my ribbon 'ruffle'. Along with a lot of inking and other bits my card is finally complete :)

Head on over to http://theshabbytearoom.blogspot.com and take a look at all the gorgeous cards, thanks for stopping by x
